Design Samples

This page contains two work samples to demonstrate my skill sets in requirements, design, and architecture that I created for job applications. The architectures were well received by their respective companies. In both cases I was required to research all of the domain background material from scratch. I had no background in either lung scans or in oil/gas pipelines before creating these architectures, and I was not given any information from either company. I'd be happy to discuss either design sample in depth.

Disease Progression AI SaaS

Across the globe pharmaceutical companies are constantly running trials on new drugs and treatments for various lung abnormalities and conditions. The Disease Progression system was designed to handle both Lung Cancer and COPD image scans from various data sources at a global scale, pass them through Machine Learning models, and then generate reports for the pharmaceutical staff. The project goals for the Disease Progression sample can be found in the "Disease Progression Challenge" pdf

Pipeline Integrity Evaluation AI SaaS / IaaS

Much of the world's critical oil and gas infrastructure was built decades ago and must be regularly inspected to ensure human and environmental safety. The pipeline integrity system was designed to integrate with data from first and third party external and inline sensor arrays to evaluate the integrity of millions of miles of pipeline walls. This data is processed by industry standard algorithms and state of the art machine learning models. Finally the end user can see and manage the results of this data analysis in a web application. The project goal for the Pipeline Integrity sample can be found in the "Requirements - Pipeline Integrity” pdf.

In my profession career I've only worked on closed source projects. This portfolio is available to show my activity working on my own closed source code bases. I've been busy at work so my recent activity is less than years previous. I am currently working on an open source project to demonstrate my programming skills. If your interested in an early preview, please contact me on Linkedin.
